| This race, the 50th renewal of the Eclipse Stakes, was staged at Sandown Park on Friday 18th July 1947, and was won by 1947 Epsom Derby runner-up Migoli, beating 1947 2000 Guineas winner Tudor Minstrel (SR 2232) and 1946 Eclipse Stakes winner Gulf Stream by 1 1/2 lengths and 10 lengths. | |||||||||
